Common questions
Frequently Asked Questions
How many staff do I need when I plan to hire bartenders in Stamford, CT?
It depends on the number of guests and type of drinks offered. Will there be simple standard mixed drinks or also martinis, frozen, shaken and/or complex specialty drinks offered. These variables dictate how many bartenders will be needed to provide guest with expeditious service. More than 50 guests may benefit from having a bar back who also has the ability to pour drinks. It may also be prudent to set up your bar with more than one pouring station. Our reservationist will ask questions to determine the best number of bar staff for your event.
Do you bring the bar, or do I need to provide one?
While we don't advise investing in renting a portable bar you can, however we suggest adding 4' or 6' side and/or back bar tables. We have found using standard 6' and 8' tables set up in an L or U shape with a narrow 18" wide back bar table works best with ice bins stackes and positioned next to the bartender instead of using an ice bucket on top of the bar. We have also found using bus pans (which can be wrapped in a linen) placed on the side and back bar tables work better than using coolers on the floor. An existing counter can work if there is another shelf next to it and ample counter top space.
Do your bartending services include frozen drink machines or draft setups?
Yes. We rent frozen drink machines and can provide jockey boxes for draft beer if preferred however keg beer placed in a shallow tub or deep can works well too.
What happens if rain or wind threatens an outdoor bar?
When planning an outdoor event, if a tent is not part of the plan we always have a Plan B. Options include moving indoors, adding sidewalls fif using a tents or not taking a chance an set up the bar inside if inclement weather is in the forecast.
